The new Board is already at work for the 2012 Show Season and came with some very good ideas. We will kick off the season in March and run through November as in years past.
Tentative dates have been set and we are now working on securing arenas and judges. Check the schedule tab for tentative dates. We are asking all Members to solitifiy a sponsorship at any level for the 2012 Season. Ask a friend, business, family member to help support your riding club. The sponsorships help offset show costs and are desperately needed for the overall success of the show season. Which leads to the next topic....A couple of rule changes for 2012....
1. The mandatory Member Volunteer hours ( 2 hours) can now be TRADED IN one of two ways....you can either buyout your hours at a cost of $40 OR solidify a minimum of $100 in sponsorships. This will be in lieu of your working the hours and is designed to help those who show both English and Western. We encourage you to continue to Volunteer. We need all the help we can get!
2. Membership Dues will increase to $25 for Horse/Rider combo , $15 for non rider and $10 for the second horse/rider combo.

Lets raise the bar to $1000 goal for total Sponsorship monies this year!!!
Tarheel Horsemans Association is a multibreed association serving Eastern North Carolina. We offer shows from March through November with class divisions in Hunt Seat and Western for all ages. We are associated with The Paint Horse Association, The Quarter Horse Association and The Appaloosa Association open show programs for year end points. Our Horse Show Association offers both day end as well as year end awards in all age divisions for Hunt Seat and Western classes.
